We are excited to announce that Chris Brashear, Peter McLaughlin and Todd Phillips will perform at Pickin’ in the Pines 2015! Chris Brashear and Peter McLaughlin have performed and recorded together for over twenty years. Their previous duet recordings, Canyoneers (2003) and So Long Arizona (2008), established them as leading performance artists and creative lyricists with a particular interest in the Southwest. Grammy-award winning bassist and producer Todd Phillips is no stranger to the collaborative and creative process. His entire musical life has been dedicated to musical projects that are on the cutting edge of acoustic music. The Colton House residency has helped to add significantly, both in creative terms and in terms of public awareness, to an already impressive body of work by lyricists who have developed writing skills from traditional roots. This residency can be seen as laying the groundwork for future arts and education programs that benefit directly from the wonderful resources provided by the Museum of Northern Arizona.
