Contra Dancing at Pickin' in the Pines
Contra and square dance is back at Pickin’ in the Pines this year! A variety of contra dance, square dance and other dances and workshops will be held during the festival.
Cocks o' the North,
a contra dance band from Bloominton, IN and the old time string band, Foghorn Stringband will provide live dance music. Cis Hinkle of Atlanta, GA is the featured dance caller.

Contra Dancing and FFOTM
Contra dancing is a big part of Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music. We host a FFOTM contra dance on the first Saturday of each month from 7:30-11 pm, at Ashurst Hall on the NAU campus. Contra dancing is a great way to meet new friends and become more familiar with traditional music. Instruction is provided at all of our dances; no experience is necessary and no partner is required.
