Pickin' in the Pines Bluegrass & Acoustic Music Festival

Pickin' in the Pines was a big success this year: more smiles per acre, which might be the truest measure of success. If you were there, you know what a great time the festival was, with warm, clear days, the full moon rising over the amphitheater, the campfires and jamming, and best of all, the amazing performances from our headliners and all the other performers.
Next year's festival will be held September 18, 19 & 20, 2009. We're starting now to book bands, and will post them as we get contracts signed, so keep checking back. Volunteer Dwayne Conn has created a podcast that gives an overview of the festival, and highlights the history and the music of the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Give a listen! You can also view video of historic footage shot at our 2006 festival posted on Youtube by Joanna Joseph.
